Seeing is believing. My ghost story.

I did not always believe in ghosts. I didn't even know what a ghost hunter was. Never heard of an evp, vortex or ecto mist. When Brady, Brian or Darla would tell me strange things that had happened to them I would tell them I thought they were crazy. They all have slept in the basement at one time or another and they all claimed to hear whispering, felt a presence or actually felt a touch. They were constantly telling me that the house was haunted. Of course I thought there was no such things as ghosts. Until ......

They got me to look up some websites about ghosts. After reading that you could possibly capture spirits in photos I told them that we would go to the basement, sit in the dark, wait a little while and then snap a few photos. I really wanted to see how my new Vivatar camera would do in the dark and I never expected to capture any anomalies.

We had only been down there a few minutes when one of the grandkids started shivering so bad his teeth were chattering. Brian asked him what was wrong and he replied that he was freezing.

About that time I had stuck my arm out to the left and snapped a photo. I did not use the view finder because I was sitting in complete darkness and couldn't see anything. Nothing looked out of the ordinary when the photo appeared in the LCD screen. Next I stuck my arm out to the right and snapped. This was the area where the grandchild was sitting. What showed up on the LCD screen made me shout "Oh My God" and I took off running up the stairs to get to the computer to download it so I could see what this strange looking thing was.

We stood around the computer with our mouths hanging open. What was that thing? Could it be some kind of spirit energy?

It took a few minutes to remember that C.J. had been shivering and saying he was freezing. This thing was right over his head. Could this be the temperature change that believers say happens when ghosts are present?

There were no candles burning to cause this anomaly. There was no air coming from the vent, the furnace was not running. No one had been smoking. When I decided to put it on this site I knew some people would say "It looks like smoke to me" so later I took a picture of cigarette smoke in the same room for comparison.

I was shocked to see this vortex like thing around Darla and C.J. when I looked at the LCD screen.
